In just 5 minutes, YOU can support our Cohousing project and the overall vision for revitalizing West River Street! A Truckee 2040 General Plan survey is available through July 17, 2020, and seeks land use input specific to several focus areas, including West River.
Helping is simple if you follow these steps:
1Review page 17 of the Land Use Workbook. Our Cohousing project is referenced as part of #2 West River Site. See page 17 in the image below, or click here to download the Land Use Workbook PDF.
Option A: Mixed Use and High Density Residential – A Mixed Use and High Density Residential designation would allow for high density housing near the Downtown, as well as retail, office, lodging, and restaurant uses. The Town has received a pre-application for a project on this site that would include cohousing, workforce housing, some commercial, and a wellness center.
2Go to page 4 of the survey. Provide as much or little input as you like on the various focus areas (all responses are optional,) or save time by clicking “Save & Continue” through to “Focus Area #4: West River (See Page 17 of the Workbook)” Watch the video if you like – it is basically a reading of page 17 of the workbook.
3Choose Option A Mixed Use and High Density Residential for West River Site #2. Add a comment of support. (Questions 28 and 29 on the survey.)
4Click Save & Continue twice more, then Submit Survey!
