Truckee Day may feel a little different this year, but CoHousing members will still pitch-in and celebrate the spirit of community at West River Street.
Always the first Saturday in June, Truckee Day is an opportunity for volunteers to pick up litter on their neighborhood streets. The morning usually culminates with a town-wide BBQ and eco-fair, but those events are cancelled due to COVID-19. Neighborhood cleanup stations will be operating.

Additional precautions will be in place to help prevent the spread of the virus as well. All participants must sign the waiver online at KeepTruckeeGreen.org to minimize contact at the check-in stations. A complete explanation of social distancing measures can be found on the sign-up webpage.
Truckee River CoHousing members will be staffing and supporting the West River Street check-in station. We are no strangers to community clean-up! Since securing our riverfront property at 10925 W River St, we’ve enjoyed a number of work parties to start the transformation from industrial neglect to joyful open space.

Whether you plan to help in your current neighborhood or come meet us down at West River Street, we hope you can get out on Saturday, June 6, 2020, to share some local love! Be sure to sign up at KeepTruckeeGreen.org
